Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) conducted an offline written examination on 19th April 2026 for Junior Assistant posts and released the official answer key on the same day. JKSSB has released the provisional answer key for the Junior Assistant posts in a PDF format on 19th April 2026. The official response sheet includes the correct answers for all 80 objective-type questions asked in the exam. Candidates can compare their responses with the official answers to calculate their scores by using the marking scheme provided by JKSSB. This process will help candidates get an idea about their performance in the exam before the results are declared. In case candidates find any discrepancy, they should raise objections within a specific time limit.

The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced 343 vacancies for Junior Assistant (Advt. 08 of 2025), for which an OMR-based written examination was held and thousands of candidates participated in the exam. Steps to Download JKSSB Answer Key 2026

After the answer key is released, candidates can easily download it from the official website by following the steps given below:

1. Visit the official website of JKSSB on any browser, https://www.jkssb.nic.in
2. Scroll down the homepage and go to the “What’s New” section and click on it.
3. In a new window, look for a link titled “Provisional Answer Key for the OMR-based written examination for the post of Junior Assistant held on 19.04.2026.”
4. Click on this link, and the answer key will be displayed on the screen as a PDF file.
5. Download this answer key file and save it for future use.

Raise Objection Process

Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board provides an objection facility to ensure transparency and allows candidates to challenge any incorrect answers in the provisional answer key. JKSSB will accept the objections offline from 20th April 2026 (5 pm) onwards. To raise challenges, candidates are required to provide valid reasons to support their claim. JKSSB charges an objection fee of Rs. 200 per question, which is non-refundable unless the objection is found valid.

How to Calculate Marks using JKSSB Answer Key 2026?

Candidates can calculate their probable score by using the Junior Assistant Answer Key. This will help candidates estimate their selection chances. To help candidates calculate their marks in the written exam, we have provided the steps below:

1. Download the official answer key from the JKSSB website.
2. Compare your marked answers with the correct answers provided in the answer key.
3. Count the total number of correct answers and multiply it by 1 mark.
4. Then count the number of incorrect answers and multiply them by 0.25 marks.
5. Then calculate the difference in marks, which is your total score in the written exam.
6. Candidates can also use the formula given below-
   (Number of correct answers*1 mark)-(Number of wrong answers*0.225 marks)= Total Score.
