Candidates must hold the required eligibility criteria to apply for ISI Kolkata Recruitment 2026.

| Section Officer (Accounts) | Bachelor’s degree with ACA/AICWA/MBA (Finance) or Commerce graduate with required service experience at Pay Level 6 or above. A good understanding of government finance rules is important. Computer skills in accounting are preferred. |
| Section Officer (General) | Graduation in any discipline with at least 5 years of supervisory experience in Pay Level 6 or higher. Familiarity with government procedures is required, and administrative computer knowledge is desirable. |
| Associate Scientist ‘A’ (Computer Science) | Master’s or equivalent technical degree in a relevant field with a good academic record, or a postgraduate/technical degree with a minimum of 3 years of research/project experience. Knowledge of computer operations and application software is mandatory. |
| Scientific Assistant ‘A’ / Library Scientific Assistant ‘A’ | Qualifications range from a Master’s degree to Higher Secondary with a diploma based on specialization, along with relevant experience. Computer operation is compulsory. Candidates with a strong academic background may be directly placed in a higher grade. |
| Assistant (Laboratory) | Higher Secondary (preferably Science) or vocational qualification with 1 year of related experience. Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills are required. |
| Engineering Assistant (Civil) | 10+2 with a 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering and minimum 1 year of hands-on experience. |
| Trade & Technical Posts (Carpenter, Electrician, Binder, Operator-cum-Mechanic, Printing Assistant, Library Assistant, Lift Operator, Cook, Driver, Pharmacist) | 10+2 with relevant ITI, diploma, or trade certificate and practical experience.
