The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has released the HPSC PGT Recruitment 2026 Notification, announcing a total of 16278 vacancies for the post of Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) in the subject of Computer Science for the Rest of Haryana Cadre and Mewat Cadre. HPSC PGT Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection of the candidates for the post of PGT Teachers will be done in two rounds, that is written test and a personal interview.

• Written Test will be conducted in two stages 1st stage is the Screening Test, and the second stage is the Subject Knowledge Test.
• The second round is an interview round; candidates who are shortlisted in the written test will be called for the personal interview round.

HPSC PGT Exam Pattern 2026

The written exam will consist of two stages, the first stage is a screening test, and the second stage is subject specific test.

Screening Test

1. The screening test will consist of 100 questions for 100 marks.
2. Each questions have 5 options, if candidates don’t know the answer, they should mark the 5th option. If a candidate marks any option, then they will be penalised 0.25 negative marking.
3. The total duration of the exam is 2 Hours.
4. One-fourth arks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Subject Knowledge Test

1. Subject specific test will consist of 150 marks.
2. The duration of the exam is 3 Hours.
3. The language of the question paper will be English.
4. The weightage of the subject knowledge test is 87.5%.

HPSC Post Graduate Teachers Salary 2026

The Haryana Public Service Commission offers an attractive and stable pay structure for the selected candidates. Selected candidates get the salary according to the 7th Central Pay Commission. The salary range will be Rs, 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100. Candidates who will be selected for the PGT Teacher in Haryana will get various allowances along with the salary.
