The Preliminary Examination for the Administrative Services will be conducted for 30 vacancies on 29th June 2025 in two sessions from 10 am to 12 noon and 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. The exam will be held at 111 centers across 10 districts in Himachal Pradesh. Candidates must reach the exam center 1.5 hours before the examination for pre-examination formalities like checking, verification, and attendance. To appear in the examination, candidates can download the admit card by using their User ID and Password.

• Visit the official website of Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC), www.hppsc.hp.gov.in
• On the home page, click on the “Download Admit Card” Tab located in the extreme top right corner
• After clicking, enter your User ID and Password, followed by the captcha code
• Your admit card is displayed on your screen
• Download, save, and print 2-3 copies of the admit card for the exam day

HPPSC HPAS Prelims Exam Pattern 2025

The exam consists of two papers:

1. General Studies (Paper-I)
2. Aptitude Test (Paper-II)

• There will be a total of 200 questions, 100 questions for each paper
• The duration of the examination is 2 hours
• This exam is qualifying in nature.
• Paper-II (Aptitude Test) is a qualifying paper. You need at least 33% marks to pass this paper.
• Only marks from Paper I (General Studies) will be used to prepare the merit list for the Main Exam.
• 1/3 of the marks will be deducted for an incorrect attempt
