HPPSC ADO Exam pattern 2025

The HPPSC ADO exam consists of two main parts: a Screening Test (Paper-1) and a Descriptive Subject Aptitude Test (Paper-2). Paper-1 is a 1-hour multiple-choice test with 100 marks, covering topics like General Knowledge, Hindi, and English. Paper-2 is a 3-hour descriptive test with 120 marks, focusing on subject-specific aptitude. Both papers assess candidates’ knowledge and skills. Below is a general breakdown.

• All questions will be multiple choice. Each question will have five options: A, B, C, D, and E.
• Option ‘E’ allows candidates to skip a question to avoid negative marking.
• Leaving a question blank without marking any option will incur negative marking.
• 0.25 marks (1/4 of the prescribed marks) will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• If more than one answer is selected, they will be treated as wrong, and the same penalty will apply.
• If no option is marked, the penalty for wrong answers (0.25 marks) will still apply.
• If a question has two correct answers, marking any one of the correct options will award full marks.

HPPSC ADO Salary

The salary for the HPPSC ADO post is based on the Pay Band Level – 16, which ranges from Rs. 48,700 to Rs. 1,54,300. This pay scale ensures that the selected candidates are paid a good salary for their responsibilities and qualifications as an Agriculture Development Officer.

HPPSC Examination Center

The examination centers can be changed by the Commission if needed. While efforts will be made to give candidates their preferred centers, the Commission may assign a different center if required. For Computer-Based Tests (CBT), centers will be decided based on available computer labs and may be located anywhere in the Himachal Pradesh.
