Indian male candidates who are in age between 18 to 27 years old and have completed 12th pass are eligible to apply online for DSSSB Jail Warder Recruitment 2025. Candidates selected for Jail Warder posts will be offered a monthly salary in the pay scale of Rs. 21700/- to Rs. 69100/-.

The selection process for the post of Jail Warder will be conducted in 4 stages. The candidates who will pass all 4 stages will be selected for the post of Jail Warder. The stages will be as follows:

DSSSB Jail Warder Exam Pattern 2025

The DSSS Jail Warder Exam will consist of a total of 200 objective-type multiple-choice questions. Each question will be of 1 mark, and there will be a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each incorrect answer. The exam will include 5 sections, i.e., General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning ability, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, Test of Hindi Language & Comprehension, and Test of English Language & Comprehension. The time duration for the exam will be 2 hours (120 minutes).

DSSSB Jail Warder Salary Structure

The salary for a DSSSB Jail Warder as per the 7th Pay Commission is based on Pay Level-3 with a pay scale of Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 and a grade pay of Rs. 2,000. After deductions (e.g., EPF, income tax), the initial in-hand salary is approximately Rs. 25,000–Rs. 30,000 per month, depending on allowances and deductions. After completing a 2-year probation period, Jail Warders are eligible for Dearness Allowance (DA), HRA, Transport Allowance (TA), and Medical Allowances.
