A total of 150 Trainee posts have been notified under the DPCC Trainee Recruitment 2026. The vacancies are distributed across reserved and unreserved categories as shown below.

DPCC Trainee Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, candidates must verify that they meet the educational qualification requirements as specified in the official DPCC Trainee 2026 notification. There are two categories of trainees:

(i) Technical Trainee – Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech) in any of the following disciplines:

• Civil Engineering
• Environmental Engineering
• Chemical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• ECE (Electronics & Communication Engineering)
• Biomedical Engineering
• Water Resources Engineering
• Remote Sensing / GIS / Hydrology or equivalent qualification

(ii) Scientific Trainee – Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Science (M.Sc.) in any of the following subjects:

• Biochemistry
• Microbiology
• Life Science
• Chemistry
• Environmental Chemistry
• Analytical Chemistry
• Toxicology or equivalent qualification

DPCC Trainee Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process

Selection for the eligible candidates will be purely merit-based. No written test has been announced. The merit list will be prepared in the following order of priority:

• GATE/NET qualifying score from 2023 examination or later- ranked in order of merit
• If sufficient GATE/NET candidates are not available, merit will be based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination (2023 or later).

DPCC Trainee Stipend 2026

Selected Trainees will receive a monthly stipend that increases progressively over the three-year engagement period, subject to satisfactory performance. The stipend structure is as follows:

• 1st Year- Rs. 25,000/- per month
• 2nd Year- Rs. 26,500/- per month
• 3rd Year- Rs. 28,000/- per month
