OPSC AEE Eligibility Criteria 2026

Educational Qualification:

A candidate must be a graduate in Civil Engineering from any University or Institution recognized by the Government, or he/she must be an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers of India in Civil.

Age Limit (As on 01/01/2026):

A candidate must have attained the age of 21 (Twenty-one) years and must not be above the age of 42 (Forty-two) years on the 1st day of January, 2026, i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1984 and not later than 1st January 2005.

OPSC AEE Application Fee 2026

Candidates other than the SC, ST, and PwD categories have to pay an application fee of Rs. 700 using the online payment method while filling out their application forms. The examination fees paid shall be refunded only to those candidates who actually appear in the Preliminary Examination.

OPSC Assistant Executive Engineer Prelims Exam Pattern 2026

The Preliminary Examination will consist of one paper in Civil Engineering comprising Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), to be conducted either through Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) based Evaluation or Computer-based Test (CBT), as may be decided by the Commission.

• The prelims exam will consist of a total of 100 questions.
• Each question will carry 1 mark, making a total of 100 marks.
• There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
• Candidates will get a time duration of 1.5 hours to solve the paper.

OPSC Assistant Executive Engineer Mains Exam Pattern 2026

The Main Examination will be conducted in 2 Papers. Paper-I (General Studies) will consist of 200 marks with 100 questions, and Paper- II (Civil
Engineering) will consist of 300 marks with 150 questions each carrying two marks. The duration of the Main Examination will be 2 hours for Paper I and 2.5 hours for Paper-II. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
