UP Police New Vacancy 2026 Announced, 81000+ Constable & SI Posts

CM Yogi Adityanath has announced the biggest UP Police recruitment drive ever, announcing 81,000+ vacancies for Constables, Sub-Inspectors, PAC, Jail Warders, and Technical posts. All official notifications will be published on the UPPRPB official website: www.uppbpb.gov.in. The detailed notification is expected to be released in phases during 2026. Some recruitment processes have already started, while the remaining notifications will be issued soon by UPPRPB.

These will be filled in multiple phases. 32,679 Constable posts are already being processed, 4,800+ SI posts had the exam in March 2026, and the remaining posts, like PAC, Jail Warder, Radio Operator, etc., will be notified soon. Education Qualification

1. Constable / PAC / Jail Warder- 12th Pass from a recognized board
2. SI / Computer Operator / ASI Clerical- Graduation from any recognized university
3. Radio Assistant Operator- 12th Pass Science stream preferred
4. Confidential SI- Graduation from any recognized university and Shorthand/typing skills required

Age Limit

UP Police Vacancy 2026 Selection Process

Stage 1- Computer Based Written Test (CBT): Objective type MCQ exam covering General Knowledge, Hindi, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and Law/Constitution (for SI). Conducted online in a transparent, technology-driven manner.

Stage 2- Physical Standard Test (PST): Verification of height, weight, and chest measurements as per prescribed standards. Qualifying in nature.

Stage 3- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Running and other physical endurance tests. For male candidates: 4.8 km run in 28 minutes. For female: 2.4 km run in 16 minutes.

Stage 4- Document Verification: Verification of all original certificates: educational qualifications, age proof, category certificate (if applicable), domicile, and character certificate.

Stage 5- Medical Examination: Final medical fitness test including vision, hearing, orthopedic standards, and overall health check. Results of the medical exam are final.
