The selection process for the Junior Lecturer and Lecturer has multiple stages. The selection stages for each post are given below:

APPSC Junior Lecturer Selection Process 2026

For the Junior Lecturer post, the selection process begins with the written exam, which is conducted online, and is followed by the computer proficiency test and document verification. The selection stages are discussed below:

  1. Written exam: The first stage has two papers, both of which have an MCQ-based format. Paper 1 focuses on general studies and mental ability, and Paper 2 is the candidate’s concerned subject. Marks scored in this will be considered for deciding the final merit.
  2. Computer Proficiency Test: Candidates who qualify for the written exam have to appear for this round. Candidates must qualify in this stage to get a final appointment.
  3. Document Verification: Candidates who qualify in the above stages have to show their original documents of caste, age, and education certificates to the Commission.

APPSC Lecturer Selection Process 2026

There are two selection stages in the APPSC lecturer posts. Candidates at first have to appear for a computer-based written exam and then for the document verification. The selection process is given below:

  1. Written Exam: In this, candidates have to appear for an online exam of two papers. One paper is about general awareness and mental ability, and the other paper is about the subject that candidates will teach. The written exam carries a total of 450 marks.
  2. Document Verification: Candidates who clear the written exam will be called by APPSC for verification of their education qualification, identity, and category certificate.

The APPSC Lecturer and Junior Lecturer written exams will be held online. There are two papers, Paper 1 is for General Studies and Mental Ability, and Paper 2 is Subject-specific. Both papers will contain objective-type questions. The maximum marks of the exam are 450. Candidates get 300 minutes or 150 minutes in each paper to finish the exam. The exam pattern is given below:

This test is qualifying in nature. It evaluates a candidate’s knowledge in MS Office tools, basic computer operations, and software applications.
