Implemented by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the scheme offers with monthly financial support, insurance, and a recognised completion certificate, all at zero application cost.

Eligibility Criteria — Who Can Apply?
The scheme targets students, school dropouts, ITI/diploma holders, and fresh graduates who are currently unemployed or not pursuing a full-time regular course. All five criteria below must be met to apply.
- Education Qualification- 10th / 12th / ITI / Diploma / Graduation
- Age Limit- 18 – 24 Years
- Employment Status- Not in Full-Time Job
- Study Status- Not Enrolled in Regular Full-Time Course
- Family Income ≤ ₹8 Lakh per Year
- Category- SC / ST / OBC / General
Who Are not Eligibile to Apply?
- Candidates who are currently working as a full time employee.
- Candidates whose family members are government employees or whose household income exceeds Rs. 8 LPA
- Candidates with Graduation or postgraduation degree from IITs, IIMs, or other premier institutes are not eligible.
- Candidates with professional degrees like CA, MBA, MBBS can’t apply
- Candidates who are currently enrolled in regular full-time courses (except final-year students)
How to Apply for PM Internship Scheme 2026?
All applications are made online through pminternship.mca.gov.in. There is no registration or application fee. Keep your Aadhaar card and educational documents handy before starting.
- Visit ww.wpminternship.mca.gov.in on your internet browser.
- Click “Login / Register” on the top-right corner.
- Now enter your mobile number, verify with OTP, and create a secure password (min. 8 characters with uppercase, lowercase, number and special character).
- Verify your identity via Aadhaar OTP or DigiLocker. e-KYC is mandatory to unlock full internship details and the Apply button.
- Fill in personal details, address, educational qualifications (10th onwards in order), skills, and languages known. Profile must be 100% complete to apply.
- Complete Aadhaar seeding via the NPCI BASE portal within PMIS to enable direct stipend transfers into your bank account.
- Browse by sector, location, or keyword. Use the Compare tool to evaluate up to 3 internships side-by-side. Apply to up to 3 internships at a time. You may also upload a short introduction video (up to 10 MB, ~30–45 seconds).
- Keep track on your application status on the Candidate Dashboard. When selected, read the offer letter carefully and click “Accept Offer” within 14 days.
- Then join on or before the reporting date mentioned in the letter.
