Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Services Commission (UPHESC) has announced the UP Assistant Professor Exam Date 2026 through the official notice released at https://uphesc.org. After the cancellation of the previous exam, the Re-Exam for 910 Assistant Professor posts (Advt. No. 51) was conducted on 18th and 19th April 2026 in 2 shifts each day. The exam will be held in offline mode in 53 exam centres in Agra, Meerut, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur and Varanasi.

UPHESC Assistant Professor Selection Process 2026
The UPHESC Assistant Professor Selection Process mainly consists of two stages: a written examination and a personal interview.
Written Examination: The first stage of the selection process is a written exam that is conducted in offline mode. The written exam evaluates the candidate’s subject knowledge, teaching aptitude, and general awareness. The candidate must secure minimum qualifying marks to be shortlisted for the next stage.
Interview: Written exam qualified candidates will be shortlisted for the interview. The interview panel tests the understanding of the subjects, research orientation, and overall personality. Performance in the interview is important for the final merit list.
