Candidates must have any one of the following qualifications to be eligible for HP Junior Basic Teacher Recruitment 2026:

- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 2-year JBT/D.El.Ed. (by any name).
- Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and a 2-year JBT/D.El.Ed., as per NCTE Regulations, 2002.
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 4-year B.El.Ed. degree.

- Graduation along with a 2-year JBT/D.El.Ed.
- Post-Graduation with at least 55% marks and a 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed.
TET Requirement: Candidates must have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the HP Board of School Education (HPBOSE), Dharamshala, or any other agency authorized by the Government.
