Punjab PCS 2025 Eligibility
Only the candidates holding the minimum eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age limit are eligible to apply for the Punjab PCS Exam 2025.
Education Qualification
- Candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.
- Candidates studying for the qualifying degree will also be permitted to take a preliminary examination. However, the candidate shall be required to produce proof of passing the degree course while appearing in the Main Competitive Examination.
- Mandatory- Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects, or any other equivalent examination in the Punjabi language
Age Limit (as on 1/1/2025)
Candidates must ensure that they attained the age of minimum 21 years and the maximum age should not be more than 37 years on 1st January 2025.
Age Relaxation – The upper age relaxation for the reserved category will be provided as per Punjab Govt. Rules. However no age relaxation is permissible in the case of the Punjab Police Service and Punjab Prisons Service

Punjab PCS Selection Process 2025
The candidates for various officer-level posts will be selected through a three-stage recruitment process which includes Prelims, Mains, and Interview. Only the applied candidates can appear for the Prelims Exam and after qualifying for the preliminary exam, they can appear for Mains Exam. The last round i.e. Interviews will be conducted only for the mains qualified candidates. Marks scored in mains and interviews will be considered for the final selection for released vacancies.

Punjab PCS 2025 Exam Pattern
Punjab PCS Prelims Exam consists of 2 papers which will be conducted on a single day. Paper 1 consists of 100 questions of General Studies and Paper 2 consists of 80 questions from the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT).
- There shall be no negative marking in the Punjab PCS Prelims Exam.
- CSAT Exam shall be qualifying, and candidates need to score a minimum of 40% marks
- Marks obtained in the prelims exam will not be counted in the final merit list.
