NICL AO Exam Date 2025 Out
As notified through the official notification pdf, NICL AO Prelims Exam 2025 will be conducted on 20th July 2025 and NICL AO Mains Exam on 31st August 2025. The candidates who will be applying for NICL AO vacancies will have to appear for the 1st stage prelims exam, and only candidates qualifying in the prelims exam will be eligible to appear for Mains exam. The final stage will be an interview, for which dates have not been announced yet.

NICL AO 2025 Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must hold the required educational qualification, age limit to be eligible for applying for the Generalist & Specialist Administrative Officer in National Insurance Company Limited. Below, we have discussed the detailed eligibility criteria for NICL AO 2025.
NICL AO Nationality
A candidate must be:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 01st January 1962 to permanently settle in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India

Step-2: On the homepage, click on the “Recruitment” section appearing at the top of the page.
Step-3: A new page will appear on your screen with all the recruitments for NICL.
Step-4: Click on “Advertisement – Recruitment of Administrative Officers (Generalists & Specialists) 2024-25”.
Step-5: Click on the “New Sign-Up” button and generate a new registration number & password.
Step-6: Now, click on the “Apply Online” link with the generated registration number.

NICL AO Recruitment 2025 Selection Process
The selection for Generalists and Specialists (except Hindi Officers) posts will be conducted in two phases- Prelims and Main,s whereas there would be a single phase examination for NICL AO Hindi Officer Specialist posts.

NICL AO 2025 Prelims Exam Pattern
- There would be 100 MCQs for the NICL AO Prelims Exam and the duration of the exam is 60 minutes (1 hour).
- A penalty of 0.25 marks for an incorrect answer is applicable.
- The objective test, except for “English Language”, will be bilingual (in English and Hindi).

NICL AO Recruitment 2025 Salary
The initial Basic pay would be Rs. 50,925 /- in the scale of Rs. 50925-2500(14)-85925-2710(4)-96765 and such other allowances as may be admissible under the rules in force from time to time in the company. Other benefits such as Pension under the New Pension scheme governed by PFRDA, Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance etc. shall be as per rules in force in the Company at the time of appointment. Total emoluments will be approximately Rs. 85,000/- per month in Metropolitan Centres. The selected candidates have to serve for a minimum of 4 years (including 1 year of probation) for which an undertaking will be signed at the time of joining.
