AWES Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

The selection of the candidates for Postgraduate Teacher (PGT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), and Primary Teacher (PRT) posts will be based on the following stage.

Online Screening Test (OST)– The AWES Online Screening Test will be held in online mode consisting of multiple choice questions. The candiadtes must pass OST to get selection for the post of a teacher, (regular & fixed term). Those who appear in the OST exam will be provided a scorecard whose validity is lifetime.
(i) Regular candidate. Within two years of being appointed with a minimum overall raw score of 50 % ( 100 marks).
(ii) Fixed Term candidate Within one year of being appointed with a minimum overall raw score of 40 % ( 80 marks).
Interview– The shortlisted candidates in the OST exam will be called for the interview depending upon the number of vacancies available and the location of employment. Candidates who apply for the Regular Post are interviewed by a ‘Central Selection Board’ (CSB). Candidates who apply for the post of a teacher under ‘Fixed Term’ employment are interviewed by a ‘Local Selection Board’ (LSB).
Evaluation of Teaching Skills and Computer Proficiency- For Language teachers, a written test comprising an essay and comprehension of 15 marks each would be held along with the evaluation of teaching skills. The Selection Committee may also hold computer proficiency tests if they so desire.

AWES Recruitment 2024 Exam Pattern

For each category, there will be one question paper of 200 marks, i.e., one question paper for Foundational
stage & PRT, and one question paper in each subject for PGT as well as TGT.
The exam will be online mode.
The exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions.
For each correct response, the candidate will be awarded one mark.
There will be a negative marking, 1/4 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
The time duration of the exam is 03 hours.
