The selection of candidates for the post of Contractual Sanitation Worker is based on a lottery system from among the eligible applicants who have applied for the vacancies advertised by the respective Urban Local Bodies.

The lottery will be conducted category-wise according to the number of advertised vacancies using online software developed by the Department of Information Technology & Communication, Government of Rajasthan.

Preference for Safai Karmchari Posts

• The 1st preference will be given to eligible candidates who have at least one year of sanitation work experience in the same Urban Local Body.
• Candidates who have at least one year of sanitation work experience in any other Urban Local Body within the same district will be included in the lottery process for the remaining vacancies.
• If vacancies remain after applying conditions (a) and (b), then candidates who have at least one year of sanitation work experience in any Urban Local Body anywhere in the State of Rajasthan will be included in the lottery process for the remaining vacancies.

Note: If the Rajasthan High Court (Jodhpur/Jaipur Bench) passes any order regarding the recruitment of sanitation workers that affects the recruitment process, the selection process shall be carried out in accordance with the directions of the Court.

Rajasthan Safai Karmchari Salary 2026

In accordance with the Labour Department’s notification dated December 13, 2024, the contractual sanitation worker (Safai Karmchari) posts in the urban local bodies will be offered the monthly salary of Rs. 7,410/-.
