There are a total of 500 Vacancies will be recruited for Asst. Foreman (Electrical) (Trainee), T&S Gr-C (E&M) and Technician (Electrician) (Trainee), Cat-III (E&M) posts. Out of the total vacancies, 350 vacancies will be recruited for Technician posts and 150 for Assistant posts.

The selection for the recruitment depends on the performance of candidates in the Computer-Based Examination. Mahanadi Coalfields Limited will not conduct any interview round following the online test, but document verification will be done.

MCL Foreman and Technician Exam Pattern 2026

Mahanadi Coalfields Limited will conduct a CBT containing only objective-type questions. In this exam, there will be two sections. Section A is for General Awareness & Aptitude, and Section B is for Technical Knowledge. The question paper will be set in both English and Hindi.

• There will be a total of 100 questions.
• The maximum marks in the exam are 80.
• Section A has 20 questions, and Section B has 80 questions.
• Each question will carry 1 mark.
• There will be no negative marking.
