NPCIL Executive Trainee Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates who are interested in applying for the post must check whether they are eligible for the post in terms of educational qualification, GATE score, and age limit. NPCIL requires candidates with an engineering background within a specific age limit to apply for the post.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have completed B.E., B.Tech, or B. Sc (Engineering), or a 5-year integrated M.Tech degree, with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in any one of the 6 notified engineering disciplines.
• Candidates must have completed their graduation from a university recognised by AICTC/UGC.
• NIFCL will accept candidates who have done graduation through full-time, regular, on-campus courses.
• Candidates who have completed their degree through distance learning, correspondence, part-time or research-based methods are not eligible for the recruitment.
• Candidates who are in their final semester or final year of 2026 are also eligible to apply, provided they produce their final marksheet by 30th November 2026 with 60& marks in aggregate.

GATE Score

• Candidates must have a valid GATE score in their respective engineering discipline.
• NPCIL will accept candidates with GATE 2024, GATE 2025, and GATE 2026 scores only.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for candidates from the general category is 26 years, which means that candidates must have been born after 30th April 2026. However, candidates from the reserved category get benefits from upper age relaxation, as shown in the table:
