UP Excise Constable Eligibility Criteria 2026

Educational Qualification

The candidates must have passed the Intermediate (Class 12th) examination from the UP Board of Secondary Education or an equivalent examination recognised by the government.

Desirable Qualification

Candidates who have served in the Pradeshik Sena (Territorial Army) for at least two years, or who hold an NCC ‘B’ Certificate, will be given preference in case of equal merit.

How to Fill Out the UPSSSC Excise Constable Application Form 2026?

If you wish to apply for the UPSSSC Excise Constable Recruitment 2026, you must complete the application process correctly. Candidates must fill out their Online Application Form with accurate personal, educational, and category-related information.   4. The photograph and signature uploaded during the PET-2025 registration will appear automatically; no changes can be made to them at this stage.
  5. Fill in additional details such as post preferences and extra qualifications (e.g., NCC/Territorial Army), accept the declaration, and click on “Save and Submit.”
  6. Pay the application fee online; after the application has been successfully submitted, download the form and keep a printout safe for your records.

UPSSSC Excise Constable 2026 Selection Process

The selection process for the recruitment of Excise Constable post consists of the following stages:

  1. Written Examination (Main Exam): Objective MCQ-based written test (100 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours). Shortlisting based on PET-2025 normalised scores.
  2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Height, Chest, and weight measurements as per prescribed standards.
  3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Running test within the stipulated time.
  4. Document Verification.

UPSSSC Excise Constable Exam Pattern 2026

  • The Written Examination will have a single question paper comprising 100 objective-type (MCQ) questions carrying 100 marks
  • Time duration of the exam is 2 hours (120 minutes).
  • There is a provision of negative marking (¼ mark deducted) for each wrong answer.
