There are 1366 seats under 19 AIIMS across the nation in the BSc Nursing Course, and only 30 seats are available in the Post Basic Course under the open category.

The candidates who are willing to appear for the AIIMS BSc Nursing 2026 exam can now fill out their online application forms at the AIIMS official website www.aiimsexams.ac.in, and candidates must submit their application forms well before 24th April 2026 to avoid any technical glitches. 

AIIMS BSc Nursing 2026

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, Nursing programmes include two courses, i.e., BSc (Hons.) Nursing and BSc Nursing (Post-Basic). The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Hons) is a four-year undergraduate degree programme. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Post-Basic) UG degree programme is a two-year degree programme that grants lateral entry to nursing aspirants.

The application window will remain open from 25th March to 24th April 2026. AIIMS BSc Nursing (Hons.) exam is scheduled for 27th June 2026, and the Post-Basic exam is scheduled for 30th May 2026.

AIIMS BSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria 2026

Educational Qualification

• For BSc Nursing (Hons), candidates need to pass Class 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. General category candidates must score a minimum aggregate of 55%, while reserved category students need 50%. Appearing candidates can also apply.
• For BSc Nursing (Post-Basic), candidates must pass Class 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. They need a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from an Indian Nursing Council (INC) recognized institute.
• Candidates must also be registered as a nurse and midwife (RN & RM) with any State Nursing Council. Male nurses need six months of training in specific subjects like Orthopedic Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing.

Candidates must meet the age requirements for AIIMS BSc Nursing programs as on 31st December 2026.
