NEET 2025 Exam Pattern Revised, APAAR ID not Mandatory says NTA

The National Testing Agency which is the responsible body for the smooth conduction of the NEET Exam, has announced several changes into the NEET Exam Pattern 2025. The NTA has removed the optional questions from section B of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2025).

While announcing these revisions, the examination authority mentioned that the NEET Exam Pattern is being revised back to its original pattern, which was being followed in the pre-pandemic era.

The revised NEET UG Exam Pattern 2025 states that the NEET question paper will now consist of 180 questions. The Physics and Chemistry sections will comprise of 45 questions each while the Biology section will hold 90 questions among which the aspirants will have to answer all the questions for a duration of 180 minutes.

The National Testing Agency previously announced the conduction of the NEET 2025 Exam in the offline pen & paper mode in a single day and single shift.

A separate notification also instructed candidates to mandatorily integrate APAAR ID with the NEET Registration Form. It was announced that this effort will increase transparency and will prevent impersonation during the NEET 2025 Exam. However, in its latest notification, NTA has clarified that the APAAR ID is not mandatory while filling the NEET Application Form 2025.
