The Central Board of Secondary Education [CBSE] has now introduced the students to a new system to make things easier! They are now using the APAAR ID as a unique way to identify students in all CBSE schools. This ID will help organize and manage student information better. It will make school administration smoother and more efficient. Students and schools will be able to access important details quickly. The best part is that you can find all the information about this new system on the official CBSE website i.e., www.cbse.gov.in. This change will improve how student data is handled and make everything more streamlined for everyone involved.
APAAR ID
The APAAR ID, a 12-digit unique code, was launched under the ‘One Nation, One Student ID’ initiative. It securely stores a student’s academic details, including marks, credits, and scholarships, throughout their life. Already issued to over 30 crore students, it brings advanced features like face recognition to reduce errors and simplify tasks like exam attendance. With restricted access and parental approval, the system ensures data safety. This innovative step aligns with NEP 2020, transforming academic record management for students.
Steps for the APAAR ID Implementation Process
We have discussed all the 6 steps to implement the Apaar ID below. Students are also informed that the CBSE has launched “APAAR ID Monitoring (AIM)” to track the creation of APAAR IDs in schools. A toll-free helpline, 1800-889-3511, is available to assist schools with any issues. Schools and students can visit the official CBSE website for more details. This system helps ensure easy monitoring and smooth management of APAAR IDs in CBSE-affiliated schools.
Step I – PTM for APAAR ID:
Schools will organize Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) to explain the importance and benefits of APAAR IDs to parents and students.
Step II – Consent Form:
Schools will give consent forms to parents, which must be signed to authorize the use of Aadhaar details for creating APAAR IDs.
Step III – Data Verification:
School authorities will verify student details, like name, date of birth, and Aadhaar number, on the UDISE+ portal.
Step IV – APAAR ID Creation:
Schools will generate APAAR IDs via the UDISE+ portal, linking them to students’ Digilocker accounts. Parents will receive confirmation via SMS.
