CLAT 2026 Exam

The CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) is an important exam for students who want to study law in India. It is conducted to get admission into top National Law Universities (NLUs) for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law courses. CLAT is held once a year, usually in December, and consists of questions on subjects like English, current affairs, legal reasoning, and more. CLAT Syllabus 2026 for UG and PG

CLAT 2026 Application Form

The Consortium of NLUs will soon begin the online registration process for the CLAT 2026 Entrance Test. All the candidates need to pay about Rs 4000 for both UG and PG programs, and Rs 3500 for SC/ST/PwD candidates at the official website www.consortiumofnlus.ac.in. All the candidates who are interested in appearing in the CLAT 2026 (Common Law Admission Test) will be able to fill in the CLAT 2026 Application form by simply following the steps discussed below:

Steps to Fill CLAT 2026 Registration Form

Step-I Registration - The candidate needs to register by entering their name, mobile number, and email ID. 

Step-II Login - Log in with your Mobile number and password to access the application form.  

Step-III Choose the program of study - After logging in, the first thing is to select the program of study 5-year LLB or one-year LLB

Step-IV Fill out the complete form - There will be different fields like personal information, communication details, qualifying examination status, exam center preferences (THREE centers can be selected in the order of preference), and reservation. All fields need to be filled.

Step-V Submit the form - Once the details are duly filled, agree to the declaration, give consent, and submit the form.    

Step-VI Pay the application fee - In the last step, pay the application fee (which is category-specific) in online mode using credit or debit cards, or net banking. Note that in addition to the exam fee, candidates will have to pay an additional INR 500 if they want to opt for previous years' question papers.

Step-VII Get registered by entering details like name, email ID, and mobile number. Upload scanned copies of signature, photograph, and other documents in the prescribed specification. The size and format of pic are given below.

CLAT 2026 Admission Process

In order to get admission to one of the 22 participating NLUs, candidates need to appear for the CLAT 2026 online entrance exam, which will be conducted by NUALS Kochi this year.

Post that, the counselling round are start after the successful declaration of results, where the candidates are granted a seat in the preference order of the NLU (as filled in the online application form), based on seat availability and merit list.

CLAT Admit Card 2026

The CLAT Admit Card 2026 will soon be released by the NLU. The admit cards will be made available in the form of an online PDF at the official website www.consortiumofnlus.ac.in. It serves as a ticket to enter the exam hall. The information, includes the candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, time, and venue. Without this card, students may not be allowed to take the exam. Students should download and print their admit cards as soon as they become available to ensure a smooth exam day.

CLAT Question Paper 2026

The CLAT Question Paper 2026 comprising 120 questions has been released online at various portals. Students can access the question paper easily by going through the links added in this article. According to the reviews shared by the expert faculty members, the difficulty level of the question paper was moderate. The focus of all the questions in the CLAT Question Paper 2026 was majorly on testing the student's knowledge about the latest and ongoing socio-economic and legal issues. Students shared that the legal reasoning part was the hardest part of the whole question paper.

CLAT Answer key 2026 PDF Download

After the completion of the CLAT Exam, the CLAT Answer Key 2026 for SET A, B, C, and D will soon be released on the official website. All the appeared candidates need to log in to the portal using their Mobile Number and Password. The Final Answer Key will be available on December 2025. CLAT Result 2026

The Consortium of National Law Universities will release the results for the CLAT 2026 (Common Law Admission Test) by December 2025 at its official website www.consortiumofnlus.ac.in. To check and download the CLAT Result 2026 students are required to enter their respective login credentials such as their CLAT Application Number / Admit Card Number and Date of Birth at the login window. CLAT 2026 Exam Pattern

The CLAT question paper for the UG Course will only be available in the English language. The UG-CLAT 2026 shall be a 2-hour test, with 120 multiple-choice questions carrying 1 mark each. CLAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The Common Law Admission Test [CLAT] is for candidates who are willing to study law in India. Before applying for the CLAT UG and CLAT PG, the candidate must carefully go through the complete eligibility criteria as mentioned below

Eligibility Criteria for the CLAT UG Program

Education Qualification: must have passed their class 12th or equivalent from a recognized board. 

Percentage Requirement: A minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying degree is required to appear in CLAT UG 2026. SC and ST candidates need only 40% marks.

Age limit: There is no upper age limit to apply for CLAT Exam. 

Eligibility Criteria for the CLAT PG program

Education Qualification: must have a Bachelor’s degree in Law [LLB] from a recognized university. 

Percentage Requirement: A minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying bachelor degree is required to appear in CLAT PG 2026. SC and ST candidates need only 45% marks.

Age limit: There is no upper age limit to apply for the CLAT PG Exam.

CLAT 2026 Exam Centres

The candidate has generally been allotted a CLAT test centre opted for by him/her at the time of filling out the application form unless there is an unforeseen event, in which case one will be allotted an alternate centre. Candidates will be provided with all the details of the allotted test centre, like name and address, on their CLAT admit card.
