CLAT 2025 Notification Out

The official notification for CLAT 2025 has been uploaded to the official website of the Consortium of NLUs. As per the notification, the online registration for CLAT 2025 has began on July 15. The Annual Executive Committee and the General Body Meetings of the Consortium of National Law Universities met at the National Law Institute University, Bhopal, and decided to schedule the CLAT Exam 2025 on December 1, 2024, Sunday.

CLAT 2025 Application Form

The Consortium of National Law Universities has released the Online Application forms for the CLAT Entrance Test on July 15, 2024 and as per the released schedule the last date to fill out the CLAT Application form is October 15, 2024, for all the Undergraduate [UG] Courses. All the candidates need to pay about Rs 4000 for both UG and PG programs, and Rs 3500 for SC/ST/PwD candidates. Steps to Fill CLAT 2025 Application Form

All the candidates who are interested in appearing in the CLAT 2025 (Common Law Admission Test) can fill in the CLAT 2025 Application form by simply following the steps discussed below:

Step-I Registration - The candidate needs to register by entering their name, mobile number, and email ID. 

Step-II Login - Log in with your Mobile number and password to access the application form.  

Step-III Choose the program of study - After logging in, the first thing is to select the program of study 5-year LLB or one-year LLB

Step-IV Fill out the complete form - There will be different fields like personal information, communication details, qualifying examination status, exam center preferences (THREE centers can be selected in the order of preference), and reservation. All fields need to be filled.

Step-V Submit the form - Once the details are duly filled, agree to the declaration, give consent, and submit the form.    

Step-VI Pay the application fee - In the last step, pay the application fee (which is category-specific) in online mode using credit or debit cards, or net banking. Note that in addition to the exam fee, candidates will have to pay an additional INR 500 if they want to opt for previous years' question papers.

Step-VII Get registered by entering details like name, email ID, and mobile number. Upload scanned copies of signature, photograph, and other documents in the prescribed specification. The size and format of pic are given below.

CLAT 2025 Admission Process

In order to get admission to one of the 22 participating NLUs, candidates need to appear for the CLAT 2025 online entrance exam, which will be conducted by NUALS Kochi this year.

Post that, the counselling round are start after the successful declaration of results, where the candidates are granted a seat in the preference order of the NLU (as filled in the online application form), based on seat availability and merit list.

CLAT Exam Pattern for UG Course

The CLAT question paper for the UG Course will only be available in the English language. The UG-CLAT 2025 shall be a 2-hour test, with 120 multiple-choice questions carrying 1 mark each. Also, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.

CLAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The terms and conditions that the candidate has to fulfill for appearing in CLAT 2025, depending on the course (UG) the candidate is seeking for admission in Law School, are covered by CLAT 2025 eligibility criteria.

Eligibility criteria for the UG program

Education Qualification: The candidate must have passed a 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized university or board.

Percentage Requirement: A minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying degree is required to appear in CLAT 2025. SC and ST candidates need only 40% marks.

Age limit: There is no upper age limit.

CLAT 2025 Exam Centres

The candidate has generally been allotted a CLAT test centre opted for by him/her at the time of filling out the application form unless there is an unforeseen event, in which case one will be allotted an alternate centre.
