CLAT Passing Marks 2024
The CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) passing marks vary each year and are determined by the consortium of National Law Universities conducting the exam. Generally, candidates need to secure a minimum percentage of marks to qualify. The candidates will be placed according to their rank in the CLAT exam 2024. And the CLAT rank is determined based on a candidate’s performance in the entrance examination. In case of a tie between two or more candidates in the CLAT examination 2024, the tie-breaking round is generally determined based on specific criteria set by the exam conducting authorities. These tie-breakers are designed to ensure a fair and transparent process in determining the final ranks.
Factors Affecting the CLAT Cut Off
CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) 2024 Cut Off can be influenced by various factors, some of these factors are discussed below. These factors collectively contribute to the determination of the CLAT cutoff, making it essential for candidates to stay informed and well-prepared.
- A higher number of applicants can lead to increased competition, potentially raising the cutoff.
- If the exam is perceived as more challenging, the cut-off may be lower as students might find it harder to score high.
- Any change in the marking scheme can impact the overall scores and subsequently the cut-off.
- Higher competition can lead to a higher cut-off as there’s a larger pool of candidates vying for limited seats.
- If the number of available seats is limited, the cutoffs may be higher as there is greater competition for admission.
- Different categories (General, ST, SC, OBC, etc.) may have varying cutoffs due to reservation policies.
- If the performance of candidates in previous years was exceptional, the cut-off might be raised to maintain the standard.
- Different law schools may have varying admission criteria and weightage for CLAT scores, influencing cutoffs.
- Decisions made by the CLAT conducting body, such as adjustments to difficulty levels or scaling of scores can affect the cut-off.
