CLAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) are straightforward. To apply for the undergraduate program, candidates must have completed their 12th grade or equivalent with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates). For the postgraduate program, a candidate should have completed their LLB or equivalent degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).
- There is no upper age limit for taking the CLAT exam.
- General, OBC, PWD, NRI, PIO, and OCI candidates need at least 45% marks in their 10+2 or equivalent exam.
- SC/ST candidates need at least 40% marks in their 10+2 or equivalent exam.
- Students appearing for their 10+2 exams in March/April 2024 can also apply for CLAT 2026. However, they must show proof of passing their exam when they seek admission. If they can’t provide this proof, they won’t be considered for admission.
