The National Testing Agency has released the updated JEE Main Syllabus along with official notification for both sessions at its official website https://jeemain.nta.ac.in/. The JEE main 2025 syllabus chapter and subject wise have been provided for both Paper 1(B.E/B.Tech) and Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Plan). The syllabus is designed to test the student’s knowledge and understanding of the fundamental concepts in these subjects.
The JEE Main syllabus comprises the subject-wise topics from Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry of class 11 and class 12 that will be asked in NTA JEE Main 2025. This year, the JEE Main syllabus has been reduced for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The topics that have been removed by NTA for JEE Main 2025 Exam have also been discussed in the article along with the updated syllabus.
JEE Main Syllabus 2025 (NEW)
To begin with the preparation for any exam, the candidates must know the complete and accurate exam pattern along with the syllabus to plan a foolproof strategy to score good marks in the particular exam. The updated exam pattern and syllabus for IIT JEE Main 2025 exam have been discussed in this article. Candidates do note that JEE Main 2025 syllabus is the same for all JEE Main sessions. The syllabus for the JEE Main 2025 exam includes Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subject topics from classes 11 and 12.
JEE Main Syllabus 2025 Reduced
The National Testing Agency will release the reduced Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Main) 2025 syllabus along with the brochure and JEE Main 2025 on November 1, 2024. Students are advised to prepare for the exam as per the reduced JEE Main syllabus. The session 1 exam will be held from January 24 to February 1, 2025 in online mode. JEE Main 2025 April session will be conducted from April 1 to 15, 2025.

JEE Main 2025 Exam Pattern [New]
While preparing for the JEE entrance examination, the candidates must check the official JEE Main Exam Pattern 2025 for session 1 & 2 along with the syllabus of JEE Main 2025. The exam date for JEE Main 2025 will be soon announced by the NTA. JEE Main Exam date 2025 Session 1 is between January 24 and February 01, 2025, whereas JEE Main 2025 Session 2 is scheduled between April 01 and April 15, 2025. The JEE Main 2025 exam will be a computer-based test conducted online. This exam will contain questions from three sections namely physics, chemistry, and maths. JEE Main 2025 Marking Scheme

JEE Main Marking Scheme for Paper-1
- For MCQs – 4 Marks are to be awarded for every correct answer and 1 Mark is to be deducted for every incorrect answer
- For an answer with a numeric value – 4 Marks to be awarded for every correct answer and 1 Mark to be deducted for every incorrect answer
JEE Main Marking Scheme for Paper-2
- For MCQs- Candidates are to be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer and there will be a negative marking of 1 mark on each incorrect answer.
- For Questions with numerical value answers – Candidates are to be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer and there will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
- For the Drawing Test – Two questions are evaluated out of 100 marks
