CBSE Draft’s Norms for the Conduction of Class 10 Exam Twice from 2026, Check Notice Here

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) which is conducting the Class 10 and Class 12 Examinations for the academic session 2024-25 from February 15, 2025 has released a notification at its online portal sharing the draft scheme for two examinations for Class 10 from 2026.

The board in its draft notification announced the norms in the public domain after which stakeholders can submit their feedback by March 09, 2025 after which the final policy will be released in the public portal.

The CBSE Draft’s Norms for the Class 10 Exam announces the conduction of 1st phase exams between February 17 and March 6, 2026 while the 2nd phase of exams will be held between May 05 and May 20, 2026. The draft shares that exams will be conducted covering the complete syllabus while the practical and internal examinations will be condcuted once.

The notification mentions, “Both the examinations will be conducted on full syllabus and the candidates will be allotted the same examination centers in the two editions. Exam fees will be enhanced and collected for both exams at the time of application filing”.

“The first and second editions of the board exams will also act as supplementary exams, and no special exams will be conducted in any circumstances,” mentioned the notification. The CBSE Board is planning to conduct the final board exams twice to provide students with the option to choose and retain the best scores.
