The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has released a notification at its official website announcing the release of CLAT Application Form 2026 at its official website. It has been announced that the CLAT 2026 Application Form will be available at the online website of the Consortium on August 01, 2025. All the interested candidates will be able to visit the official website at www.consortiumofnlus.ac.in to check and fill the CLAT Application Form 2026 before the announced last date, i.e., October 31, 2025.

CLAT Application Form 2026

The CLAT exam is a national-level exam that is conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) as the process for admission into the UG and PG level of law courses in 22 NLUs and over 60 law schools across India. To get admission into these law courses candidates need to appear and qualify for the CLAT exam. The registration form for the CLAT 2026 exam to be conducted for admission into the academic session 2026-27 will be released on August 01, 2025 with the deadline of October 31, 2025 on the official website.

Steps to Fill CLAT Application Form 2026

All the candidates who are willing to appear for the CLAT [Common Law Admission Test] 2026 examination can now fill in their application form by simply following the steps discussed below.

Step 1: Visit the official website of Consortium of NLUs at https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/

Step 2: Fill in your name, email ID, contact number, and other details to complete the registration process

Step 3: Once the registration process is completed log into the portal using the mobile number and password

Step 4: Now, in the new window, select the course you want to enroll in

Step 5: Now fill in all the information as asked in the form and upload the scanned images of the documents mentioned in it.

Documents Required for CLAT Application Form 2026

While filling out the CLAT 2026 Application Form the applicants will be required to have some mandatory documents ready with them which will be uploaded in the form prescribed in the form submission guidelines. CLAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) are straightforward. To apply for the undergraduate program, candidates must have completed their 12th grade or equivalent with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates). For the postgraduate program, a candidate should have completed their LLB or equivalent degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).

  • There is no upper age limit for taking the CLAT exam.
  • General, OBC, PWD, NRI, PIO, and OCI candidates need at least 45% marks in their 10+2 or equivalent exam.
  • SC/ST candidates need at least 40% marks in their 10+2 or equivalent exam.
  • Students appearing for their 10+2 exams in March/April 2024 can also apply for CLAT 2026. However, they must show proof of passing their exam when they seek admission. If they can’t provide this proof, they won’t be considered for admission.
