The Common University Entrance Test, Undergraduate (CUET UG) showcases several key changes into the CUET Exam Form 2025. The expert panel committee constituted by the University Grants Commission has now shared several recommendations that may revamp the exam format and will also introduce several key changes to it. The National Testing Agency is all set to release the CUET Application Form 2025 allowing interested candidates to register for the exam.
CUET UG Exam 2025 Revamped
The CUET UG Exam 2025 is all set to return to its original format, i.e., computer-based format from 2025. Also, students will be allowed to appear for any subject irrespective of the subjects studied in class 12.
The UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar in an interview mentioned “The exam will be conducted only in CBT (computer-based test) mode from 2025. We conducted the exam in hybrid mode last year but we will move to CBT mode because it is much more reliable and secure as compared to other modes of examination.”
He also mentioned that “Candidates will also be allowed to opt for subjects in CUET-UG which they haven’t studied in class 12 to allow the students to cross over the rigid disciplinary boundaries in higher education”.
Recommendations by Expert Panel
A dedicated team of experts set up the UGC reviews various factors related to the CUET Exam, like the paper structure, duration, syllabus alignment, and operational challenges. All those suggestions have been presented, approved, and implemented for the CUET UG Exam 2025.
The UGC Chairman, M. Jagadesh Kumar, has emphasized for the CBT Mode saying that this is more secure and reliable in comparison with all other available options.
He also noted that the subject flexibility would encourage students to explore interdisciplinary opportunities in higher education.
