NEET Paper Analysis 2024 Difficulty Level
Based on the initial reactions of students coming out from the exam centers after appearing for their NEET Exam 2024, it can be said that the exam was moderate. As per student’s reactions, it can be said that students found physics to be moderate and on the toughest side while chemistry was easy.
For botany and zoology, students said that the questions were easy to attempt and were based on the NCERT curriculum. Even the reaction of the experts says the same, even though they feel like the question paper was slightly moderate.

Physics
- The Physics section was difficult and lengthy, especially compared to last year.
- A total of 70-75% of questions were numerical, with the rest being theory-based.
- Some questions required long calculations, making them time-consuming.
- Multi-statement questions were tricky.
- Questions on Wheatstone Bridge needed creative thinking.
- One question was outside the NTA-recommended syllabus.
Chemistry
- The difficulty level of the chemistry section was Easy to moderate.
- Mostly within NCERT’s scope, some questions copied NCERT’s language.
- Theory-based questions dominated in the NEET 2024 Examination, with only 11 numerical questions.
- Sections A and B had equal numbers of questions from Organic, Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry.
Botany
- The difficulty level of the NEET 2024 Exam was Easy to moderate, with a few tricky questions.
- Most questions were from NCERT, except two with options beyond NCERT.
- There were Equal questions from both the Class XI and XII syllabus.
- Mostly fact-based questions were asked, some concept-based.
- Most of the questions were from the Genetics unit.
- Match-the-column questions were common.
Zoology
- The difficulty level of the Zoology portion was Moderate but lengthy.
- The class XII syllabus was more prominent.
- Questions were mostly match-the-column type.
- Some options required knowledge beyond NCERT.
