With the announcement of the NEET Result 2024, the National Testing Agency releases the NEET Cut Off list for each category every year. This list is released as a primary eligible list, the students who are eligible to take part in admission for any of the institution’s offered courses can apply based on this cut-off list. The data of the cutoff list varies based on various factors like the exam difficulty, the number of students who appeared for the exam, the number of available seats, etc. The cut-off bar has gone a level higher in every previous year.

Marks Requirement for Qualifying NEET

One of the basic queries that arises in the mind of a NEET aspirant is ‘How many marks are required by a student to qualify NEET for MBBS?’ The minimum requirements vary each year based on various factors such as the number of students that appeared for the exam, seat availability, exam difficulty, etc.

In 2023, the minimum qualifying mark for the NEET exam was 117 out of 720 for the unreserved category students and 116 for the reserved category students. It is to be noted by the students, that qualifying for the NEET exam doesn’t guarantee admission. After qualifying for the exam students need to appear for the counseling round, and based on the counseling round’s result students will be allotted a seat for admission in their preferred or eligible course.
