TANCET 2025

Anna University is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It was established on September 4, 1978, and is one of the leading technical universities in India, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in engineering, technology, and applied sciences. The university conducts the TANCET exam every year in the month of March.

The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is an exam held for students willing to join postgraduate courses like MBA, MCA, and M.E./M.Tech in Tamil Nadu colleges. The university conducts the exam at 15 different examination centers across the state every year. TANCET is an offline pen and paper-based test and lasts for a total of 2 hours (120 minutes).

TANCET 2025 Exam Date

Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu will soon announce the TANCET Exam Date 2025 at its official website. The exam dates are expected to be announced by the second or third week of January 2025. All the students appearing for the upcoming TANCET 2025 Exam are advised to check the complete syllabus along with the latest exam pattern at the official website http://tancet.annauniv.edu/tancet/. According to updates, Anna University is expected to conduct the TANCET 2025 Exam by the second week of March 2025.

TANCET 2025 Exam Cities

The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2025 will be conducted in 15 different cities across Tamil Nadu. The exam will be held offline (OMR Sheet Based). Students are provided with an opportunity to select their respective exam centers at the time of registrations.

TANCET 2025 Registration Process

The official portal to fill in the TANCET Application Form 2025 will soon be activated by Anna University. All the students who are willing to appear for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test for the academic year 2025-26 to get admission to postgraduate courses like MBA, MCA, and M.E./M.Tech in Tamil Nadu are advised to fill out the application forms before the last date. Once the application forms are released students will be able to register themselves by simply visiting the official website http://tancet.annauniv.edu/tancet/.

Steps to Fill in the TANCET Application Form

Step I: Visit the official website of Anna University i.e., http://tancet.annauniv.edu/tancet/.

Step II: Look for the link that says “TANCET Application Form 2025”, and click on it.

Step III: Start your registration process as a new user.

Step IV: Carefully enter all the personal details such as name, mobile number, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, and many more.

Step V: After the registration process is successfully conducted the login credentials will be sent to the registered Email ID.

Step VI: Now log in using the credentials and fill in the application form.

Step VII: Upload all the documents with passport-size photographs, and signatures.

Step VIII: After uploading all documents pay the online application fee using a credit/debit card/net banking or offline mode.

Step IX: Now check all the details filled in the TANCET 2025 application form and click on the submit button.

Step X: A confirmation page will be generated. Take a printout of the confirmation page and submit the registration form.

TANCET 2025: Application Fee

For general category students, the application fee for TANCET is usually around ₹1000, while reserved category students pay a lower fee, generally ₹500. The fee can be paid online using options like debit/credit cards or net banking. It is non-refundable, so candidates should check their eligibility before applying. This fee covers the cost of exam processing and administration.

TANCET Eligibility Criteria 2025

The eligibility criteria for the TANCET exam are simple. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories). For certain courses, like MBA, no specific subject is required, but for courses like MCA, students should have studied mathematics in their previous education. Applicants should also be Indian citizens. It’s important to check the specific eligibility for the course you want to apply for, as requirements may vary slightly.

For MBA

All the students willing to pursue MBA course must have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories). Some more eligibility criteria have been discussed below. All these combinations ensures that a student meet the educational background required for TANCET Eligibility.

• 10+2 followed by 3, 4, or 5 years of higher education.
• 10+3 years of diploma plus 3 years of higher education.
• 10+2 followed by B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. / B.Pharm.
• 10+2 followed by AMIE certification.
• 10+3 years of diploma with AMIE certification.

For MCA

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree (minimum three years) in BCA, B.Sc (IT/CSE), or any other degree with Mathematics at the 10+2 or graduation level. A minimum of 50% marks are required for general category students, while for reserved category students are required to score 45%.

• 10+2 followed by AMIE certification.
• 10+3 years of diploma with AMIE certification.
