As per updates, The authorities will soon release an official notice regarding the IISER Entrance exam at the official website http://www.iiseradmission.in/. All the students willing to appear for the upcoming IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) for admission to BS and BS-MS (Dual Degree) at participating institutes are advised to carefully go through the complete eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus, and many other details before filling out the IISER Application Forms. As per last year’s exam schedule, the IISER Entrance exam 2025 is expected to be held in the month of June 2025.

IISER 2025

The IISER Entrance Exam is conducted by the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER). It is held to select students who want to study science and research in IISER colleges. The IISER Entrance exam is held for students appearing for admission to 5 years BS-MS dual degree and four-year BS degree programme offered by seven IISERs, IIT Madras, and IISc Banglore participating institutes.

IAT Exam 2025 Registration Date

The IAT Exam 2025 Registration Date is to be released by the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) at its official website. All the candidates who want to appear in the IISER 2025 Exam need to visit the official website at http://www.iiseradmission.in/ and complete their registrations as soon as the window is activated. Candidates will be required to fill in all their essential details such as mobile number, father’s name, date of birth, and many more.

Steps to Fill in the IISER Application Form 2025

Step I: Visit the official website of the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) i.e., http://www.iiseradmission.in/.

Step II: Look for the link that says “IISER Application Form 2025”, after that click on the Register as a new user option.

Step III: Now carefully enter all the details asked such as name, mobile number, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, and many more.

Step IV: Once the registration process is completed successfully, the login credentials will be sent to the registered Email ID.

Step V: Now log in using the credentials and fill in the IISER 2025 application form.

Step VI: Upload all the documents with passport-size photographs, and signatures.

Step VII: After uploading all documents pay the online application fee using a credit/debit card/net banking or offline mode.

Step VIII: Now carefully review all the details filled in the IISER application form 2025 and click on the submit button.

Step IX: Download the confirmation page and do not forget to take a printout of the same for further use.

IISER 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for IISER, students should carefully check all the eligibility criteria. Meeting these rules is very important for admission. Nationality:

Applicants must be Indian nationals, PIO (Person of Indian Origin), or OCI (Overseas Citizen of India).

Educational Qualification:

• Must have passed the 12th-grade exam in 2023, 2024, or 2025 with a science stream (recognized by COBSE).
• Must have studied at least three subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Physics in the 12th exam.

Marks Requirements:

• SC/ST/PwD candidates need at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in the 12th exam.
• Other candidates need at least 60% marks or an equivalent grade in the 12th exam.

IISER 2025 Exam Pattern

The IISER Mohali exam pattern is designed to test students’ knowledge in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. It is a computer-based test with multiple-choice questions. The exam usually has four sections, each covering one subject. Students are awarded marks for correct answers, and there may be negative marking for wrong ones. The questions are based on the Class 12 syllabus, so thorough preparation of NCERT books is helpful. The duration of the exam is usually 3 hours.

IISER Marking Scheme 2025

For each correct answer, students will be given 04 marks. However, 01 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer as a negative marking. No marks are given or deducted for questions left unanswered. It is important to attempt questions carefully to avoid losing marks. This pattern helps in fair evaluation by rewarding correct answers while discouraging guesswork.
