Exciting news for students! The West Bengal UG admissions for 2025 have officially started today, June 18, from 2:00 PM. Students can now register for WBCAP 2025 on the official website – www.wbcap.in. This registration process is held to help students secure seats in various undergraduate courses across West Bengal. Students must note that there’s no application fee for WBCAP.

The last date for WBCAP UG registration is July 1, 2025. The first merit and seat allotment list will be out on July 5, and the final registration deadline is July 12, 2025. The admission process will take place in two phases. The Phase 2 allotment list will be released on August 21, and the last date for admission is August 24, 2025.

WBCAP UG Registration 2025: Important Dates

Along with the activation of the WBCAP centralised portal for UG admissions in West Bengal for 2025-26, the authorities have also released the detailed schedule on their official website. The first merit list and seat allotment will be out on July 5, and students can take admission between July 5 and 12. The next round of merit lists will be released on July 17, with admissions open till July 20. Offline document verification will happen from July 24 to 31. Classes for the new academic year will begin on August 1, 2025.

The West Bengal Centralised Admission Portal makes it easier for students to apply for college. Through this centralised website (wbcap.in), students can apply to up to 25 undergraduate courses in one place, without filling out separate forms for each college. This system covers about 460 government and government-aided colleges under 17 universities in the state, offering nearly 9 lakh UG seats.

However, it does not include unitary universities like Presidency and Jadavpur University, or minority and autonomous institutions. How to Fill WBCAP UG Application Form 2025?

All the candidates who are interested in applying for the WBCAP UG 2025 can now fill out their application forms from June 18, 2025, onwards. Candidates are informed that the last date for WBCAP UG 2025 Registration process is July 01, 2025. Candidates must note that no application form will be accepted after the last date.

Step I: Visit the official website of the West Bengal Council of Higher Education (WBSCHE), i.e., http://wbcap.nic.in/.

Step II: Look for the link that says “WBCAP UG Registration 2025” on the homepage.

Step III: Fill in all the details asked, such as name, date of birth, gender, mobile number, email ID, etc. Fields marked with the sign * are mandatory.

Step IV: The authorities will send the login ID and password to the registered email ID or mobile number of the candidate.

After completing the registration process, candidates will have to follow the steps mentioned below:

Step V: Now, the candidates will have to fill out the WBCAP UG application form by providing all the personal information, educational details, qualifying exam, and contact details.

Step VI: After filling in all the details carefully, click on the submit button. The application number will be generated.

Photograph and Signature

Step VII: After filling out all the details, the candidates will have to upload their photographs and signatures. The authority has also released the size and format of the photograph and signature that are to be uploaded.

Final Submission

Step VIII: Before the final submission, carefully go through all the details provided on the WBCAP UG 2025 application form.

Step IX: At the end, download the WBCAP UG 2025 application form and do not forget to take a printout of it for further use.
