The rank secured by the candidates is the deciding parameter for admissions into VIT colleges in Vellore, Chennai, AP and Bhopal. Based on eligibility for admissions and your preferred choice filling, seat allotment is done.

• Candidates who secured Ranks between 1 and 1,00,000 in VITEEE 2023 Exam are eligible to undergo counselling for admission in Vellore/Chennai/Bhopal /VIT-AP.
• Candidates who are ranked above 1,00,000 are eligible for admission only into VIT AP and VIT Bhopal.

Steps in VIT Counselling Process 2023

To participate in  VITEEE Counselling 2023 and to know your VITEEE 2023 seat allotment candidates are advised to follow these simple five steps which are discussed below. These steps guide you through the online mode of counselling and get your seats allotted in your preferred choice of VIT.

Step: 1 Know your VITEEE Rank- Your VITEEE 2023 Rank is the deciding factor for admission. The Rank list will be released along with VITEEE 2023 Results by the higher authorities of VIT. VITEEE Counselling dates 2023 are scheduled depending on your rank and you must be aware of it immediately after VITEEE 2023 Results are out.

Step: 2 Registration – Candidates need to complete the online registration to take part in VITEEE Counselling Process 2023. During registration, they will have to fill out the online form and give their choice of preference in category, course and campus.

Step: 3 Document Verification- This is the vital step, where candidates will be uploading all important documents for the purpose of admission through VIT. Candidates must be aware of important instructions prescribed before proceeding with their counselling process.

Step: 4 Seat Allotment- After document verification, admission seats are allotted based on your Rank and Preferences filled.

Step: 5 Fee payment- Post completion of seat allotment, the requisite amount of admission fee has to be paid to confirm your admissions in the campus allotted. In favour of “Vellore Institute of Technology”, payable at Vellore demand draft of INR 50,000 has to be drawn. Apart from this, a non-refundable standard amount of INR 11,800 has to be paid, which is your counselling fee.

• Class 10 board passing certificate or any other certificate to prove the age of the candidate
• Class 12 board mark sheet or passing certificate
• Class 12 hall ticket (For candidates awaiting results)
• Qualifying examination mark sheet (if available)
• Community Certificate (for SC/ST candidates)
• Demand draft of Rs. 50,000 drawn in favour of “Vellore Institute of Technology” payable at Vellore
• For Hostel – Demand draft of Rs. 21,000 drawn in favour of “Vellore Institute of Technology” payable at Vellore
• Nativity Certificate (for candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura)
