78th Independence Day Guests 2024

Following the grand parade that will highlight India’s military strength, cultural richness, and technological advancements, 161 field officers from across the nation, who are engaged in implementing various schemes of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, have been invited to the Independence Day celebrations at Red Fort as special guests. These individuals, along with their spouses and companions, will join the event. Additionally, selected women workers from Anganwadis, Sankalp: Hubs for Empowerment of Women, Child Welfare Committees, Sakhi One-Stop Centres, and District Child Protection Units have also been extended invitations to attend as honored guests.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the Red Fort today to mark India’s 78th Independence Day, wearing a colorful traditional turban, white kurta, and a blue jacket, he was greeted warmly by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other important officials. PM Modi hoisted the national flag and gave his 11th Independence Day speech in a row, making him one of the few Prime Ministers, along with Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi, to achieve this milestone.
