The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a notification at its official website revising the CUET Accountancy Exam Pattern 2025. The notification mentioned that the revision has been done to achieve convergence between the notified syllabus and the design of the question paper.
The CUET Accountancy Exam is being conducted by the NTA from May 13, 2025, and is scheduled to be held till June 03, 2025. As per the latest notification issued about the exam pattern change, the Accountancy exam paper will now include options for the students to choose between Unit 5 or an option to Unit 5. The rest of the questions in the question paper will be covered from Units 1 to 4 as per the released syllabus.
The released notification shares that the revised question paper pattern to be implemented in the Accountancy exams to be conducted from May 22, 2025. To ensure fairness in the exam, all the candidates who have already appeared for the Accountancy exam between May 13 and May 16, the body will be allowed to either retain their examination or to re-appear in the revised question paper pattern.
What led to change in CUET Accountancy Exam Pattern?
On May 13, the students who appeared for the CUET Accountancy Exam were disappointed to find that Computerised Accounting had been made mandatory. As per the officials, the CUET Accountancy Syllabus details that Unit 5 comprises:
- Financial Analysis (Main Topic)
OR - Computerised Accounting System (Optional Sub-Topic)
The students were disappointed for not getting the choice between the topics and the CAS based questions causing confusion and anxiety.
