JEE Advanced Counselling 2023: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA) released JOSAA Seat Allotment 2023 Round 1 Result on 30th June 2023 at the official website www.josaa.nic.in. The candidates who have reserved the seats in Round 1 in JEE Advanced Counselling 2023 must complete online reporting with a seat acceptance fee payment(SAF) and document upload by 4th July 2023 (5 pm). JEE Advanced Counselling 2023
The JEE Advanced Result 2023 has already been released announcing an overall pass percentage of 24.5%. Of a total of 1,80,372 students who took the entrance test, 43,773 were able to qualify for the test. Qualified students are now invited to participate in the JEE Advanced Counselling 2023 to be granted their preferred courses in the participating institutes based on the AIRs obtained by them. Only those students whose names are listed in the JEE Advanced 2023 rank list can register for the JEE Advanced Seat Allotment 2023 Process.
JOSAA Seat Allotment 2023 Important Dates
The JEE Advanced Seat Allotment 2023 is to be carried out in 6 rounds. The JOSAA Seat Allotment 2023 Round 1 is going to be held from 30th June 2023 onwards. Steps to apply for the JEE Advanced Seat Allotment 2023
Students must complete the registration process to participate in the JEE Advanced Seat Allotment 2023. After the students have chosen their preferred courses and colleges, authorities will conduct mock seat allotment for candidates as per the choices they made. Candidates may change their choices after mock allotment and the respective seats will be allotted based on merit, preferred choices, category, and availability. Follow the steps given below to complete the registration process-
Step 1: Visit the official website at www.josaa.nic.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, scroll down to the Candidate Activity Board and select “Round 1 Seat Allocation Result for JoSAA 2023”
Step 3: A new login page appears, which displays Online Registration & Choice Filling where you need to enter the below details.
Step 4: On the login page, enter your credentials such as JEE Main application number, password and security pin.
Step 5: Once logged in, fill in the registration form.
Step 6: In the next step, students must select the college and courses of their choice from the available ones.
Step 7: Once the choices are made, students must lock them.
JEE Advanced Counselling 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Students applying for the JEE Advanced Counselling 2023 and Seat Allotment must check the eligibility criteria specified by the exam authorities. The eligibility criteria has been mentioned below-
- Students must have secured a rank in JEE Advanced 2023 Exam.
- Students must have scored at least 75% of aggregate marks in the 12th standard (or equivalent) examination and the students belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories should have secured 65% marks.
- The students belonging to the category-wise top 20 percentile in their respective 12th standard (or equivalent) board examination are also eligible for JEE Advanced Seat Allotment 2023.
Documents required for JOSAA Seat Allotment 2023
The following listed documents must be presented by the qualified candidates to participate in the JOSAA Seat Allotment 2023. Students must carry these documents during the process of JEE Advanced Counselling 2023-
- Seat Allotment Letter
- Admit card of JEE Advanced
- Proof of Date of Birth: Class X/HSC/Birth Certificate/Any other certificate as proof of date of birth
- Photo Identity Card
- Class XII/SSC/Equivalent exam Mark sheet and Certificate of passing
- Proof of seat acceptance fee payment
- Two passport size photograph
- Category Certificate (OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PwD/DS) issued by the competent authority
- Duly filled Medical Examination Report
- For foreign nationals: Attested photocopy of the page in the passport containing name, photo and nationality
JOSAA JEE Advanced Counselling 2023 Seat Matrix
This year, seat allotment for a total of 17485 seats in all the 23 IITs are to be done through JEE Advanced Counselling 2023. Out of the total number seats available, 1692 supernumerary seats are for female candidates. This year, the counselling process has seen a marginal increase in the total number of available seats as last year 16598 seats were available including 1567 female supernumerary seats.
