Steps to Accept Seats under DU First Merit List 2023

The following are the steps that can be followed by the candidates in accepting the seat allotment and making the fee payment, thereby completing the admission procedures. These steps include:

Step 1– Candidates are required to log in using credentials such as CUET Application number and Password in the CSAS (UG)-2023 Dashboard. Candidates must note that seats are to be accepted by 5th August 2023.

Step 2– In a given round, if more than one seat is offered to the candidates, they must take the decision of accepting a single seat. In such cases, the provisionally assigned seat gets forfeited if no action is taken and is considered to be non-accepted.

Step 3– Next comes the verification of documents online by the concerned college where the candidate has accepted the seat. The seat is confirmed only after verifying the necessary documents by 5th August 2023, 5 pm.

Step 4– Fee payment is done as a next step, the deadline to pay the entrance fee is by 6th August 2023. Under any circumstances, if the candidate fails to pay the same, the allotted seat or accepted seat gets cancelled.

Step 5- After fee payment is done, candidates can choose to ‘Freeze’ or ‘Upgrade’ options.

Step 6– If the candidate is satisfied with the seat allotted to them, they choose the freeze option, and their admission process is completed. Further enrollment of seats in different colleges is not considered from now on.

Step 7– If the candidates choose the upgrade option, they can select a higher preference of college/institution and the admission process can be rearranged for further enrollment in colleges.
