Assam PAT Merit List 2023

A common Assam PAT Merit List 2023 will be prepared and released by exam authorities along with the declaration of Assam PAT Result 2023. The merit list is prepared on the basis of marks scored by the candidates, which contains details of candidates who are eligible for the counseling session. A separate category-wise merit list will also be released. In situations where two or more candidates have scored the same marks, then a rule called a tie-breaking procedure is used which is described below.

Tie-Breaking Procedure of Assam PAT Merit List 2023

In case two or more candidates score equal marks, the tie-breaking rule is applied to decide the name and order of candidates in the merit list. The candidate is awarded a higher rank on the basis of the following considerations:

• Candidates who have scored higher marks in the Mathematics and Science sections in the Assam PAT examination are ranked higher.
• If the tie still exists, the qualifying examination aggregate marks will be considered by the authorities.
• If the tie is not broken, then the Chairperson of the Selection Committee selects the higher-ranked candidate through a lottery system, which is the final decision.

Assam PAT Counselling 2023

The qualified candidates who have successfully cleared Assam PAT 2023 are shortlisted to participate in the process of Assam PAT counseling 2023 online from 1st July 2023. Preferred colleges and courses are to be selected by the candidates and required documents are to be uploaded before the last date. All eligible candidates are advised to upload their documents on the website from 1st July 2023 till 10th July 2023. The seat allotment is done based on rank, preferences, and availability of seats.
