Submitting the application form is the 1st step in appearing for the recruitment examination. Interested candidates holding the required eligibility can apply online within the registration dates. The RRB JE apply online process is ongoing on the official website www.rrbapply.gov.in, and the last date to fill out the form is 13th September 2026 (11:59 pm). 

The steps for filling out the online application form consist of one-time registration (OTR), filling up personal and academic details, submitting the relevant documents for verification, paying the application fee, and lastly, submitting the application form. Having an idea about them beforehand can help the candidates know what to do when they apply.

RRB JE Apply Online 2026

Candidates aged 18 to 33 years who have completed a diploma or degree in engineering can submit their applications online for the 4029 RRB JE exam. Candidates who complete the application process will be able to appear for the Tier 1 examination, which is expected to be held in December 2026. The application will be accepted online only on the RRB official portal. No application will be accepted through any other mode.

Candidates, make sure to complete their duly filled application form before the last date, i.e., 13th September 2026, to avoid last-minute technical glitches.

How to Apply for RRB JE Recruitment 2026?

• Visit the RRB website
• Complete registration (OTR)
• Log in to the dashboard
• Fill in form details
• Upload photo & signature
• Pay application fee
• Submit form
• Download confirmation

Step 1 – Fill Registration Form

• Candidates have to go to the official website of the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) and go to the other RRB page: https://www.rrbapply.gov.in/.
• On the homepage, click on the link that reads “Click here to apply for RRB JE” under the CEN 04/2026-Link for application.
• For the ‘Create an Account’ form, fill in your important details.

Step 2: Application Form

• Log in using a registered mobile number, email ID, and password to complete the application form.
• Candidates must select the RRB for which they wish to apply and select the posts and zones within the chosen RRB.

Step 3: Upload Documents

• Upload scanned images of their photograph, signature, and SC/ST certificate (if applicable).

Step 4: Fee Payment

• The candidate has to pay the requisite examination fee.
• The fee will be paid online through net banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI services.

Step 4: Submit form

• The confirmation page of the online application form appears on the screen.
• Download and take a printout of the confirmation page of the application form for future reference.

RRB JE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• JE / DMS – Candidates must have completed a 3-year Diploma or B.E./B.Tech degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, S&T, etc.)
• CMA – Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc.) with Chemistry and Physics. Note: Candidates awaiting final results are not eligible to apply

Age Limit (as on 01/01/2027)

• Unreserved/EWS categories – 18 to 33 years
• Relaxations: 3 years for OBC (NCL) and 5 years for SC/ST
