Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is an organizing body that conducts the National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (NDA & NA) twice a year for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the Indian Defence Forces. UPSC has announced a total of 406 vacancies for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 155th Course and for the 117th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 1st January, 2026.

NDA 1 Notification 2025- Highlights

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for NDA 1 2025 from 11th to 31st December 2024. Under the selection process for NDA and Indian Naval Academy Courses (INAC), candidates have to undergo the Written Test and SSB Interview.

NDA 1 2025 Notification Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay an application fee while submitting the NDA 1 2025 Application Form. The fee will be paid online mode by using Visa/ MasterCard/ Rupay Credit/ Debit Card. Candidates from the general category have to pay Rs. 100 and candidates from other categories are exempted from paying the application fee.

NDA 1 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for NDA 1 2025 should check the required educational qualifications and age limit. Unmarried male and female candidates who have completed their 12th class and are aged between 16.5 to 19.5 are eligible to apply online for the NDA 1 Exam 2025.

Educational Qualification

• For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: 12th pass/HSC or equivalent
• For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at NA: 12th Class/HSC or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Note: Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

Age Limit

Only unmarried male/female candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 2006 and not later than 01st July, 2009 are eligible to apply online for UPSC NDA 1 2025 Exam.

UPSC NDA 1 2025 Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (NDA & NA) includes the Written exam and an SSB Interview. The written exam  A candidate who qualifies in a written examination will be called for a personality test, which will be conducted to check their intelligence and personality.
