NDA Application Form 2026, Apply Online Starts for UPSC NDA 1 Exam

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is responsible for conducting the National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (NDA & NA). As per the official notice released by UPSC, the NDA Application Form 2026 process has started on 10th December 2025. Candidates can apply online for the NDA 1 2026 exam through the official website of UPSC at www.upsc.gov.in (once activated).

This is a great opportunity for aspirants who are aiming for careers at the National Defence Academy. The Unmarried male and female 12th pass candidates aged between 16.5 and 19.5 years can submit their application forms through the official website UPSC, www.upsc.gov.in. Through the exam, UPSC aims to fill vacancies for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of NDA and Indian Naval Academy Courses (INAC) for the 156th Course and the 118th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC).

The online application process for the NDA 1 2026 exam has commenced from 10th to 30th December 2026. UPSC NDA  Application Form Fee 2026

The online application fee has also been released along with the notification to fill out the NDA Application Form 2026. The fee can be deposited in any Branch of SBI by cash or can be submitted by using the net banking facility of the State Bank of India or directly by using Visa/ MasterCard/ Rupay Credit/ Debit Card. 

Note- Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances, nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.

How to Fill NDA Registration Form 2026?

Candidates must apply online using the website www.upsconline.nic.in. They need to first register on the One Time Registration (OTR) platform available on the Commission’s website, and then fill out the online application for the examination. Go to the official website of www.upsc.gov.in and click on "Apply Online". The application form has two stages: Part I & Part II, detailed below.

NDA Application Form Part I

The Part I registration to fill out the NDA Registration Form 2026 is classified into 4 steps:

Step I: The candidate must begin with the registration process and submit all the details correctly in the application form.

Step II: The next step is to choose the preferred branch you want to join in the Defence Army.

Step-III: Enter your Email ID and phone number and verify the details.

Step IV: Fill in the required details in the NDA 1 2026 Application Form.

Step-V: The last step to complete the registration process is the generation of the Registration ID.

NDA Application Form Part II

1. Pay the application fee for the UPSC NDA 1 Exam as applicable.
2. Select the preferred city where you want your exam centre to be allotted.
3. Upload your photograph, signature, and photo-identity proof as per the required file size and format.
4. Agree to the declaration and submit your application form for UPSC NDA 1 Exam. Download a copy of the application form for future reference.

Pre-requisite of NDA 1 Online Form 2026

Upload the relevant images and documents as asked by the UPSC in jpg/ jpeg format. And photo identity card in PDF format in the dimension specified by the Commission.

Documents Required to Fill NDA Application Form 2026

1. Before filling out the UPSC NDA 1 application form, the candidates must keep the following documents aside.
2. Scanned images of photographs and signatures
3. Photo-identity card in PDF format (Aadhar Card / Voter Card/PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving License/ School Photo ID or any other photo ID Card issued by the State / Central Government)
4. Bank details to make an online transaction
5. The marksheet and admit card of Class 10 and 12

NDA Eligibility

For admission to the Army Wing of the National Defence Academy, candidates must have a Pass certificate of class 12th via a recognized board or a University. For the Air Force, Navy, and Naval Academy of the National Defence Academy, candidates must have passed Class 12/HSC with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
