4TNPSC Group 2 Syllabus 2024 is discussed here. Every year the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducts the Combined Civil Services Examination Group II (CCSE-II) to recruit eligible candidates for various Civil Services in Tamil Nadu. TNPSC conducts CCSE-II exams for Group 2 and 2A posts. Before start preparing for the exam, it is advisable to go through the exam pattern and syllabus of the TNPSC Group 2 exam. The commission releases the vacancies under two-division, Group 2 and Group 2A. Group 2 and Group 2A have only one exam difference i.e., interview. TNPSC Group 2 Syllabus 2024
As per the new TNPSC Group 2 Syllabus, TNPSC has added the General English subject for the TNPSC Group 2 Prelims Exam which is optional to General Tamil & slight changes are made in TNPSC Group 2 Mains Paper-I. TNPSC Group 2 Exam Pattern 2024
The TNPSC Group 2 Exam consists of 3 phases: Prelims, Mains, and Interview. The services are divided into Group 2 and Group 2A. The interview round is conducted for only Group 2 vacancies. For Group 2A vacancies there is no interview.

TNPSC Group 2 Prelims Exam Pattern 2024
Before going to the syllabus, check the prelims and main detailed exam patterns. The Prelims exam is just to screen out the non-serious candidates from the selection process. The prelims exam is only qualifying in nature and candidates have to score a minimum 90 marks to qualify. Here we have provided the main highlight of the TNPSC Group 2 Prelims exam.

1. All questions will be bilingual i.e., they are available in both the English and Tamil languages.

The TNPSC Group 2 Prelims Syllabus will have 200 Objective Type Questions. The prelims exam is divided into 2 parts, General Studies and the Aptitude Test. TNPSC Group 2 Mains Syllabus and Exam Pattern
The TNPSC Group 2 Mains Exam have two papers: Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is qualifying in nature while Paper II is both scoring and qualifying in nature.
1. The marks secured in the Mains exam will be considered for the final merit list.
2. This exam is divided into 2 papers: Paper I and Paper II.
3. Paper I: This paper has 2 questions for each Tamil to English Translation and English to Tamil Translation.
4. Paper II: It has 15 questions, 3 each from Precis Writing, Comprehension, Hints Development and Essay Writing on ‘Thirukkural’ and Letter writing.
5. Paper I is only qualifying in nature. Those who qualify Paper I, their Paper II sheet will be evaluated.
6. Minimum 102 and 90 marks are required to qualify in group 2 and group 2A main exams respectively.
7. TNPSC Group 2 exam is bilingual that available in both the English and Tamil languages.
TNPSC Group 2 Mains Exam Pattern
Candidates who qualify for the prelims exam are going to appear for the mains exam. The mains exam is divided into two parts i.e., Paper I and Paper II. The sheet of paper II of those candidates who score minimum qualifying marks in paper I will be evaluated.

The TNPSC Group 2 Mains Exam will be written in nature. It comprises of two papers: Paper I and Paper II.
