RRB Section Controller Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2025

The selection process includes two main stages: the Preliminary Exam (CBT 1) and the Main Exam (CBT 2). RRB Section Controller Selection Process

The selection process for RRB Section Controller consists of multiple stages:

• Prelims: This is the first stage of the exam and consists of an objective-type computer-based test
• CBAT: Computer Based Aptitude Test
• Document Verification: After clearing the CBAT examination, candidates have to present their original documents based on their qualifications.

The merit will be drawn only for the candidates who qualify in the CBAT. The merit list will be prepared with 70% weightage for the marks obtained in the CBT and 30% weightage for the marks obtained in CBAT.

The exam pattern for computer based test is as follows.

• The examination will be conducted for 100 marks.
• The duration of the exam is 120 minutes (2 hours).
• ⅓ of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect attempt
• Minimum percentage of qualifying marks for eligibility in various categories: UR-40%, EWS- 40%, OBC (Non creamy layer) -30%, SC-30%, ST-25%

RRB Section Controller CBAT Exam Pattern

1. The CBAT shall have questions and answer options only in English and Hindi.
2. Qualifying marks: The candidates need to secure a minimum T-score of 42 in each of the test batteries to qualify.
3. Candidates will have to qualify in each of the test batteries of CBAT to be considered for the post of Section Controller.
4. There shall be no negative marking in CBAT.

• Series Completion - Identifying the pattern in a sequence of numbers and predicting the
  next term,
