The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started releasing the results for candidates who appeared in tier 2 exams for various teaching and non-teaching posts from 17th August 2026 onwards. KVS NVS & EMRS Tier 2 Result 2026
It’s been more than 4 months; candidates who appeared for the Tier-II recruitment examinations of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), and Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) have been waiting for their results. The result for KVS and NVS are released at www.cbse.gov.in, www.kvsangathan.nic.in, and www.navodaya.gov.in, while for EMRS, the results are to be declared at www.nests.tribal.gov.in and www.cbse.gov.in. CBSE will release the Tier-II results for all posts by end of August, and we will also share every update about the results here.
KVS NVS Result 2026 Out for Tier 2 Posts
CBSE has started releasing KVS NVS Tier 2 results for lakhs of candidates who appeared in the exam for 15,762 vacancies (KVS – 9,921, NVS – 5,841) for TGT, PGT, and PRT posts. Till now, results are released only for 4 posts. Applicants are advised to keep their login credentials ready before checking the tier 2 result. Qualified candidates then have to appear for a skill test / interview (as per the post).
EMRS Tier 2 Result 2026
The EMRS Tier 2 results for exam conducted in March 2026 will be released by 20th August 2026. Candidates will be able to check their result from the official websites www.nests.tribal.gov.in and www.cbse.gov.in.
Why Was the KVS NVS EMRS Tier 2 Result Delayed?
There were more than 2.1 lakh answer books to be evaluated manually across 68 different disciplines/subjects and the process requires time to maintain the quality and consistency of the evaluation. While OMR-based evaluation was relatively swift, descriptive answer books need subject-expert evaluators, which takes more time. The process of recruitment for various posts (TGT, PGT, PRT, hostel warden and other teaching/non-teaching posts) in KVS, NVS and EMRS is time consuming and the compilation of results from all categories adds to the timeline.
Selection Process After Tier 2 Result
Candidates qualified after the declaration of Tier-II results will be considered for next stage of selection:
- Release of Score Card – Issued on official portals on a login basis.
- Skill Test / Interview – As per the requirement of the particular post.
- Final Merit List – Prepared on the basis of aggregate performance in all stages.
- Document Verification & Appointment – For the finally selected candidates.

- Visit any of the official websites: www.kvsangathan.nic.in (KVS), www.navodaya.gov.in (NVS), www.nests.tribal.gov.in (EMRS), and www.cbse.gov.in.
- On the home page click on the “Recruitment / Result” link.
- Now click on the KVS/NVS/EMRS Tier 2 Result 2026 link as per your post.
- Login with your application number and date of birth/password.
- Your result/scorecard will be shown on screen.
- Download and save for future reference.
