Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Board (IBPS) is accepting online applications for 13745 vacancies for the Office Assistant (Clerk), Officer Scale 1 (Probationary Officer), Officer Scale 2 and 3 posts through CRP RRBs XV. IBPS released the official notification for the IBPS RRB 2026 Exam, including registration dates and eligibility. Candidates who are interested in joining the Regional Rural Banks (क्षेत्रीय ग्रामीण बैंक) for the post of Multipurpose Office Assistant must submit their application by 21 September 2026. 

IBPS RRB Apply Online 2026 Starts

Candidates willing to appear for the IBPS RRB Exam 2026 for the Clerk, PO, Officer Scale 1 and 2 posts must first register themselves for the exam, for which the online application link is now active. As per the schedule, the IBPS RRB application is active till 21st September 2026, and any applications received after the last date will not be accepted.

How to Apply Online for the IBPS RRB 2026 Exam?

Steps to follow for applying online for IBPS RRB 2026 (CRP RRBs XV) exam:

Step 1: Visit the Official IBPS Website

  1. Go to the official website of the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS).
  2. On the homepage, look for the “CRP RRBs-XV” section under the Common Recruitment Process.
  3. Click on “Apply Online for Common Recruitment Process under CRP-RRBs-XV.”

Step 2: Select the Post You Want to Apply For

  1. The IBPS RRB recruitment covers different posts under Group A and Group B. Candidates should carefully check their eligibility before selecting the post.
  2. Depending on their qualification and eligibility, candidates can apply for:
    (a) Office Assistant (Multipurpose)
    (b) Officer Scale I
    (c) Officer Scale II
    (d) Officer Scale III

Step 3: Click on “New Registration”

  1. After opening the application portal, click on “New Registration”.
  2. The registration page will ask you to enter basic information such as:
    (i) Candidate's Name
    (ii) Mobile Number
    (iii) Email Id
    (iv) Date of Birth 
    (v) Captcha/Security Code
  3. Enter the details carefully and use an active mobile number and email ID because IBPS may use these details for communication during the recruitment process.
  4. After successful registration, the system generates a Provisional Registration Number and Password.

Step 4: Fill Personal Details

Log in using your Registration Number and Password and start filling out the application form.

Enter the required personal information, including:

  • Full name
  • Father's/Mother's name
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Category
  • Nationality
  • Marital status, wherever applicable
  • PwBD/benchmark disability details, if applicable
  • Other required personal information

Step 5: Enter Educational Qualification

Enter your educational details as required for the post selected. Depending on the post, candidates may need to provide information regarding:

  • Graduation
  • Post-graduation
  • Professional/technical qualification
  • Percentage/CGPA
  • University/Institution
  • Year of passing
  • Specialisation, wherever applicable

Important: Candidates applying for specialist posts under Officer Scale II should particularly ensure that their educational qualification and experience details match the requirements mentioned in the notification.

Step 6: Select the RRB/State/Office Preference

Candidates must carefully fill in the applicable State/UT, RRB and preference details as prescribed in the notification.

Before selecting preferences, check:

  1. Which RRBs are participating in your state.
  2. Whether the post is available in the selected RRB.
  3. The applicable language requirement.
  4. The vacancies available for your category.
  5. The order in which you want to give preferences.

Tip: Do not select preferences randomly. Check the vacancy table and language requirements before finalising your choices.

Step 7: Upload Photograph and Signature

You are now required to upload your photograph, signature and IBPS RRB Hand-written Declaration. The permissible size should be: 

  • Passport Size Photograph: Dimensions should be 200 x 230 Pixels and file size should be 20 – 50 KBs.
  • Signature: Dimensions should be 140 x 60 Pixels and file size should be 10 – 20 KBs.
  • Left Thumb Impression: Dimensions should be 240 x 240 Pixels and file size should be 20 – 50 KBs.
  • Hand Written Declaration: Dimensions should be 800 x 400 Pixels and file size should be 50 – 100 KBs.

Text for RRB Handwritten Declaration: “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true, and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

Step 9: Preview the Application Form

Before submitting the form, use the Preview option to check all the information entered. Do not rush through the preview page. Check every section before proceeding to payment.

Step 10: Pay the Application Fee

After completing the application details, proceed to the online fee payment section. After successful payment, download or save the e-receipt and application form for future reference.

Step 11: Submit the Final Application Form

After successful fee payment, complete the final submission of the application form.

Once submitted, check whether the application status/confirmation indicates successful submission.

Who Can Apply for IBPS RRB 2026?

Candidates should check the post-specific eligibility conditions before starting the application.

Office Assistant (Multipurpose)

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent.
  • Age Limit: 18 to 28 years
  • Proficiency in the local language prescribed by the participating RRB.

Officer Scale I

Officer Scale II and III: Eligibility differs according to the post.

  • For example, Scale-II Specialist Officer posts require the relevant professional qualification and prescribed experience.
  • While Scale-II General Banking Officer and Scale-III posts have their own educational and experience requirements.
  • Age Limit: 21 to 32 years for Officer Scale-2 and 21 to 40 years for Officer Scale-3.
