UP PGT Result 2026 Out (upessc.up.gov.in), Download Male & Female Merit List PDF

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released UP PGT Result and Merit list pdfs for 18 subjects on 2nd June 2026 at the official website. UP PGT Exam 2026 was conducted to recruit eligible candidates for 624 postgraduate teacher (PGT) vacancies, and around 1,92,934 candidates appeared in the exam. The result for the written exam has been released in PDF format at the official website www.upessc.up.gov.in, listing the roll numbers of candidates who have been declared qualified in the written exam. 

UP PGT Result 2026 Out

The UP PGT Exam 2026 was conducted on 9th and 10th May 2026, and candidates who appeared for the exam can check their result on the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, www.upessc.up.gov.in, or in the PDFs shared in the article. Candidates can now search for their roll number in the result PDF to check their qualifying status. Those whose roll numbers appear in the result PDF are eligible to appear for the next stage of the selection process, i.e., interview. The interview date, subject-wise schedule, and necessary guidelines will be released by the commission on the official website on June 3, 2026.

As per the result released for 18 subjects, out of 1.9 lakh candidates, only 2253 (2007 males and 243 female candidates) have been declared qualified. The below list depicts the number of candidates qualified in each subject.

Steps to Check Uttar Pradesh PGT Result 2026

Candidates can visit the official website of Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Services Selection Board (UPSESSB) to check their UP PGT Result. Follow the steps provided below to download the Result PDF.

1. Visit the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission at www.upessc.up.gov.in.
2. Look for the section or notification tab labelled "UP PGT 2/2022 Result". Click on the direct link provided to open the results page.
3. After clicking the link, a PDF file containing the list of qualified candidates opened.
4. You can quickly find your roll number in the PDF using the Ctrl+F shortcut.
5. Download the PDF file and keep it safe for reference. Take a printout of the result, which can be used for official purposes during further stages of the recruitment process.

What's Next After UP PGT Result 2026?

In the result, 2253 candidates whose roll numbers are mentioned in the result PDF have to appear for the next stage of the selection process, i.e., interview round. 

Candidates who qualify the written exam will be called for a face-to-face Interview of 50 marks. The interview is divided as follows:

1. General Knowledge Questions: 20 marks
2. Personality Test: 15 marks
3. Expressive Ability: 15 marks

Candidates must bring all original documents to the interview venue. Final selection will be based on combined performance in the written exam and interview. 

UP PGT Interview Schedule 2026

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) will release the subject-wise and category-wise interview schedule on 3rd June 2026 for 2,253 shortlisted candidates. Candidates will receive their specific interview dates via their registered email IDs and mobile numbers, and call letters will be available on the official website approximately 10 days before the scheduled interview date.
