1. Visit the SSC official website: www.ssc.gov.in.
2. Click on the "Login" tab and enter your registration number and password.
3. Click on ‘Answer Key Challenge’ as given below.
4. A notice opens on your screen, where you have to click on the text reading “Module for candidate’s response sheet, tentative answer keys, and for submission of representation”.
5. A login page opens on the screen, where you have to enter your Roll Number/User ID and Password that was generated at the time of registration. Click on “Submit” to proceed.
6. The SSC CHSL Tier 1 Answer Key 2025 appears on the screen. Download the provisional answer key and cross-check the marks scored.

The candidates can also submit their representations through the online method on payment of Rs. 50/-per challenge within the duration as notified by the commission. Candidates must attach the answer key objection application with the applicable proof or documents against the particular answer key. The answer key objection window is opened till 11th December 2025 (6 pm) for the candidates who appeared in the exam. After that, the final SSC CHSL Answer key will be released.

SSC CHSL Answer Key 2025 Marking Scheme

For the SSC CHSL Tier 1 Answer Key 2025, the marking scheme is as follows:

1. Tier 1 has 100 questions for 200 marks, with each correct answer carrying 2 marks.​
2. For each wrong answer in Tier 1, 0.50 marks are deducted as negative marking.​
3. No marks are added or deducted for unattempted questions in Tier 1.

How to calculate the provisional score from the answer key?

1. Login to the SSC portal (ssc.gov.in) and download your response sheet for Tier 1.
2. Now count the number of correct answers, number of wrong answers, and number of unattempted questions.
3. Use this formula for your provisional raw score: Provisional Score  (Correct×2)− (Wrong×0.5)
4. Do not include unattempted questions in the calculation, as they carry zero marks.
5. The score you get is your raw Tier 1 score; SSC will later apply normalisation across shifts to prepare the result and merit list.

What After SSC CHSL Tier 1 Answer Key 2025?

After SSC CHSL Tier 1 Answer Key 2025 is released, candidates should first calculate their probable score, then use the objection window if needed, and finally wait for the result and cut-off to know whether they are shortlisted for Tier 2. SSC will declare the SSC CHSL Tier 1 Result 2025 in PDF format on ssc.gov.in along with category-wise cut-off marks for each post. The final merit for Tier 2 shortlisting will be based on normalised marks calculated from the revised (final) answer key only.
